Where do I set my ad targets (cost per click, opt-in rate, cost per lead) and spend limits?
Targets are set from the "Targets" button on the ad manager's Live board. Spend limits are on the ad manager's setup page. There is no setting called a CPC ceiling: the cost per click target is the number an ad is judged against.
Who this is for
An admin on the account that runs the ads.
Steps
- Open the ad manager's Live board and press "Targets".
- Fill in "Cost per click under ($)" (blank means 2.00) and "Clicks that become leads, at least (%)" (blank means 20).
- Optionally set "Target cost per lead ($)" and "Flag an ad after it spends ($) with no leads".
- Press "Save". This only changes how the page judges your ads; nothing changes in Meta.
- For spend limits, open the ad manager's setup page, section "Spend limits": set "Daily limit for the whole account" and the stop loss, then press "Save limits".
You can also just ask in the chat on the ad manager, for example "set my cost per click target to 1.80". The assistant shows a card with what it will change and waits for you to confirm before anything is saved.
