House rules for the AI — preferred carriers, budget fallback, and required warnings

Plain-English rules injected into the AI's prompt live. They stack on top of the platform's compliance rules — you can add to those, never loosen them.

Who this is for

Agency owners and whoever sets sales policy. Not a rep-level setting.

What this actually changes

Three things, in plain English, that reach every Analyzer answer your reps get on their very next message:

Preferred carriers — which to lead with when more than one plan fits. Useful when your contracts pay better with some carriers than others.

Budget fallback — your default answer when a client can't afford the comprehensive option, so the AI leads the budget tier with your plan instead of picking one itself.

Required warnings — the mistakes that cost you money or create liability. The AI raises these unprompted rather than waiting to be asked.

You can add to compliance, never loosen it

These rules stack ON TOP of the platform's compliance rules. There's no wording here that can switch off a required disclosure or soften a regulatory constraint — that's a hard boundary, not a setting.

Facts come from elsewhere

This page is policy, not product data. The AI reads your Brochures and Underwriting pages for the facts about what plans actually do. If it's getting a detail wrong, fix it there — writing a house rule to paper over a wrong fact leaves the wrong fact in place for every other question.

How to check it worked

  • Change a rule and ask the Analyzer a question that should hit it. It applies on the next message — no republish step.
  • Ask something that should trigger a required warning and confirm the AI raises it unprompted.

Common mistakes

  • Writing house rules to correct a factual error. Fix the brochure or underwriting entry instead.
  • Expecting a rule here to relax a compliance requirement. It can't.
  • Listing every carrier as preferred, which is the same as listing none.
