Working the pipeline board
A drag-and-drop view of where every lead sits. Stages move with the disposition rather than independently, so the board reflects what you've actually recorded — it isn't a second place to track things.
Who this is for
Producers and managers who want a positional view of the book.
The board follows the disposition
Stage and disposition are linked — dispositioning a lead moves them on the board, and moving them on the board is a way of dispositioning them. That's deliberate: two independent trackers would drift apart within a week and neither would be trustworthy.
The practical consequence is that the board is only as good as your dispositioning discipline. A board full of leads in the first column usually means calls happened and outcomes weren't recorded.
One product at a time
A lead is worked on one product at a time — a second only follows a pivot or a post-close cross-sell. So a person appears once on the board for what they're currently being sold, not once per product they might eventually buy.
Common mistakes
- Treating the board as separate from dispositions and wondering why it looks stale.
- Using the board as the only view — it shows position, not urgency. Hot Leads shows urgency.
