Appointments aren't getting booked
If the AI is creating tasks instead of appointments, the assigned agent almost certainly has no connected calendar. It can't confirm a time it can't see, so it escalates to a human — silently.
Who this is for
Anyone whose booked rate dropped, or whose leads say they never got confirmed.
Steps
- Check whether the assigned agent has Google connected. This is the cause the overwhelming majority of the time.
- If it says the sign-in expired, reconnect — that's different from never having connected, and while expired, meetings stop syncing to Google.
- If SOME leads book and others don't, check every agent in the round-robin individually. One agent without a calendar is a silent hole in the rotation.
- Check the agent's working hours and timezone. Availability that's set wrong produces 'no slots' just as effectively as no calendar.
- Confirm the lead's conversation is actually live — a cold disposition puts it dormant, so the AI isn't texting them at all.
Why nothing warns you
From the system's point of view, escalating to a human when it can't confirm availability is correct behaviour — that's the safe fallback, not an error. So there's no alert. The usual way people find out is a lead asking why nobody confirmed, which is the expensive way.
If your booked rate falls without an obvious cause, calendar connections are the first thing to check, not the last.
