How do I tell if a lead opted out (DNC) — and can I undo it?

Opted-out leads show an "Opted Out (DNC)" badge; clearing it requires fresh consent.

Steps

  1. A lead who replied STOP/UNSUBSCRIBE/CANCEL/END/QUIT shows an "Opted Out (DNC)" badge on their conversation row.
  2. They're excluded from the Interested/Hot filters and the AI won't reply to them.
  3. If you try to text them, the send fails and a "Clear DNC & allow texting" button appears under the composer.
  4. Only click it if you have fresh consent to text them again.

Opt-out is treated as terminal — for a true opt-out, re-enabling the AI normally takes an admin "Force Resume."
