Migrating from Velocify, Ricochet360 or another dialer

Big lead lists with dialer dispositions. The lists move cleanly; the call history usually doesn't.

Who this is for

Agencies running high-volume outbound who are consolidating dialer and CRM into one system.

Steps

  1. Export your lead lists with their current dispositions.
  2. Map dispositions to ours — they're close in meaning but rarely identical in name.
  3. Map the DNC column. Dialer platforms usually track this well; use it.
  4. Import as leads, then check which land in the dialer queue before you start calling.

Dispositions drive real behaviour here

A disposition isn't just a label — it decides whether the lead sits in the dialer queue and whether the AI is allowed to text them. Map deliberately: 'interested' and 'callback' resume outreach, while cold or do-not-contact values stop it. Getting this wrong means either re-dialling people you shouldn't or a queue that's mysteriously empty.

Call history and recordings

Call logs and recordings almost never survive a migration. Export what you're required to keep before you cancel — recordings in particular are often deleted on account closure, and you may have retention obligations.

Aged leads are worth bringing

Don't filter to only fresh leads. Aged lists are exactly what the AI re-engagement is for — it works cold leads at a cadence a human wouldn't sustain, which is usually the reason to switch in the first place.

Common mistakes

  • Importing without mapping dispositions, so everything looks 'new' and gets dialled from scratch.
  • Leaving DNC behind because the dialer 'handled it'.
  • Discarding aged leads.
