Boosting your dialer connection rate
Register your numbers with the caller registries and warm them up so calls don't show 'Spam Likely.'
Steps
- Buy your voice numbers on the Phone Numbers page (Voice tab).
- Open the 'Boost your connection rate' card and register with the Free Caller Registry and First Orion.
- Warm up new numbers — ramp call volume over the first week rather than blasting day one.
- Match the area code to the lead's region where you can, and retire any number whose answer rate drops.
Why calls get flagged
Carriers score every number for spam based on call patterns and complaints. A brand-new number blasting high volume, or one with a low answer rate, gets labeled 'Spam Likely' — and once labeled, answer rates collapse. Registration + good hygiene is how you stay clean.
Registration (free)
The Free Caller Registry is a single portal covering First Orion, Hiya, and TNS (T-Mobile, AT&T/Samsung, Verizon). Registering puts your business name on the caller ID instead of a blank/spam label. Your numbers are already SHAKEN/STIR attested when you buy them here — registration is the extra step that adds your name.
Ongoing hygiene
Warm up new numbers gradually, keep per-number daily volume reasonable (the system spreads calls across your pool), prefer local area codes, and monitor for spam labeling — if a number's answer rate falls, retire it and register a fresh one.
