Templates — reusable text & email messages
Save messages once (with merge fields) and reuse them in workflows or manual sends.
Steps
- Go to AI SMS & Automations → Templates.
- Switch between Text and Email, then + New template.
- Write the message using merge fields like {{first_name}} to personalize.
- In a workflow's Send text / Send email action, use 'Insert from template' to pull one in.
Merge fields
Templates support {{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, {{full_name}}, {{email}}, {{phone}}, {{state}}, and more. At send time each is replaced with the lead's real values; anything missing is left blank so a message never shows a raw {{token}}.
Where they're used
Templates are a shared library. Workflow send-steps can insert from them, and the email composer on a contact already uses email templates. They're agency-scoped — your team shares them, other tenants don't see them.
