The AI SMS step — what Virtual Closer should accomplish

Set the goal, what to collect, when to offer an appointment, and when a person takes over — per stage of your workflow.

Where it lives

Open the workflow these leads run through and select its AI SMS step. That one screen answers 'how should Virtual Closer handle this lead at this stage?' — nothing else does. Product holds what you sell; the campaign holds where the lead came from; the workflow holds what happens; the AI SMS step holds the conversational job.

What you set

The goal (book an appointment, complete intake, qualify, collect information, answer questions, re-engage, hand off), what is already true about these leads, what information still needs collecting, whether secure intake is offered, when an appointment should be raised, and what sends the lead to a person.

Booking is about what it OFFERS

The booking setting controls when Virtual Closer brings an appointment up first — never whether it is allowed to book. A lead who asks for a call is never refused: they get booked, or handed to a person on a step that does not book. You do not configure that; it always holds.

Seeing what it will do

Underneath the settings is a plain-English summary of what Virtual Closer will and will not do, generated from the same configuration the live engine reads. If you change a setting and the summary does not change, the setting did nothing. Use 'Test this AI SMS step' to watch the real behaviour before any lead sees it.

Timing is the workflow's job

How long to wait between messages and when to follow up are set by the workflow's own delay and follow-up steps, not here. One owner per question.
